「來自太空，能量強大 - 天鐵」
「鎳鐵隕石」又稱「天鐵」，主成分為鎳及鐵所組成，其中含有高達90%的鐵質，是一種能量極強的隕石，所以廣泛被應用在避邪擋煞及招財飾品及擺件上，其特徵是原礦切開後，可以明顯的看到許多交錯的60及120度的天然交叉角度紋路，就算打磨拋光後這種交角現象還是無法被琢磨掉，而這種60/120度的交角紋路稱為「維德曼交紋」（Widmanstatten Pattern），是經過酸蝕後表面常會呈現一種特徵性的紋理。
由於含鐵量高，因此容易氧化，若長時間潮濕遇水，外層便會生成紅棕色或深咖啡色的氧化層，因此天鐵隕石飾品大多會鍍上一層防鏽保護膜，以防氧化生鏽，由於鍍膜工藝成熟，保護膜的顏色就有很多種可以選擇，所以現行市場看到的銀色、金色、玫瑰金色、藍色…等其實都是鍍膜的顏色，雖然有鍍膜保護，長期照顧上還是建議保持乾燥、避免潮濕。
